Brad is a new addition to the Thunderbolt Tours chase team in 2005. He has a degree in Occupational Health & Safety and has worked in the field for 7 years in Melbourne, Australia. He has also traveled extensively around the world with trips to Europe, Nth Africa and of course the USA.
Brad has always had a passion for thunderstorms and severe weather and acted on that passion by joining Jimmy Deguara with Thunderbolt Tours as they chased supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes in Tornado Alley in the USA. After taking the initial plunge, storm chasing soon became an addiction for Brad once he encountered his first tornado in Oklahoma and two days later his second twister in South Dakota. But perhaps a standout storm was the monster 'rings of saturn' supercell thunderstorm in Colorado and baseball size hail.
Along with his excellent knowledge of storm structure and chasing, and his professional experience in OHS, Brad is an accomplished videographer. Brad will be co-producing each Thunderbolt Tours Highlights DVD ensuring that our 2006 DVD set will be even better than ever.
Career Highlight: June 2, 2005
"The Flagler 'mothership' supercell was our second supercell thunderstorm for the day. We dropped south after the first supercell had 'gusted out' and gradually the mothership came into view. The closer we got the better it looked - it culminated in the photo above. Simply an amazing structure with rotating cloud that appeared like the Rings of Saturn as we drove towards it. "
